Marcela Chermont is a children's book illustrator. She lives in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil with her husband and two sweet dogs, Bel and Nala. She graduated in advertising and worked in the creative industry, specializing in visual language development for a while, but soon after fell in love with the magical world of illustration and never looked back since. Marcela is inspired by nature and storytelling. Being an introvert, stories were always her favorite place to go. She likes to create playful worlds with cute characters and animal friends. Her work is mainly digital starting with sketches on paper which she later refines in Procreate. Having had a French great grandfather, Marcela lived in France for a year to study pastry. Nowadays, she enjoys watching animated movies, reading and creating stories with her two nieces.
